living Christmas decorations

Dargo was snoozing on the dividing wall between the front room and kitchen. The first is with the light on and the second is before I turned the light on. He isn't crazy about real snow, so we'll let him enjoy the fake stuff.

I'll probably regret saying this, but our cats don't bother the Christmas tree, except to play under it, but we learned not to hang ornaments too low. And it's a fake tree, so no worries about needles or fires. They just don't have any desire to climb, although when they were kittens, that was a different story.

And now for a word from my attention whore cat...Dargo

Dargo enjoys his little outings on the deck, but that's as far as we let him go--too precious to us to let him wander outside to get lost, killed, or sick--and he rolls and rolls as if to mark it with his scent in his own cat way of saying, "This is mine!"

Cuddling cats

Dargo (Siamese) and Suki (torbie) squeezing together at the top of their tower:

I had to hurry to snap this, or so I thought. These two are such buddies and snugglers that they'll snuggle together for the sake of warmth on a winter day any time. (Note the Christmas decor reflected in the window.)

I'd rather they snuggle together than when they both snuggle under the covers, one on either side of me until I'm roasting and have to kick them out of bed.
